The Alma Soprano Titanium laser is the most advanced laser hair removal system available today designed to provide a safe, effective, virtually painless, and customizable treatment experience for all skin types.

Unlike IPLs and traditional laser devices, the Soprano Titanium laser incorporates cutting-edge technologies like the unique ICE Sapphire cooling system and the SHR (Super Hair Removal) method.

Laser vs IPL:
Key Differences
Many people confuse laser hair removal with IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) technology, but they work in fundamentally different ways. IPL uses a broad spectrum of light, which means the energy is spread out over multiple wavelengths and penetrates skin at varying depths, affecting the hair follicles while also affecting the surrounding skin. To minimize the risk of burns and irritations, IPL devices normally operate at lower energy levels, making them less precise and less effective for hair reduction. Although IPL devices can be beneficial for certain skin treatments, it generally performs with less precision and less effectiveness in hair reduction than laser technologies.

In contrast, laser hair removal uses a single, concentrated wavelength of light, which specifically targets the melanin in the hair follicles. This focused energy allows for deeper penetration and more effective hair reduction.

At Dermohealth Clinic I believe that laser hair removal should be both effective AND exceptionally safe. For this reason, instead of using the standard multi-wavelength handpiece, I use two dedicated handpieces for greater precision and safety.

The standard multi-wavelength handpiece combines 755nm, 808nm, and 1064nm wavelengths, which still includes the shorter wavelength (755 nm), that is not ideal for treating Fitzpatrick skin types 3 to 6 (which refers to skin tones from tanned to very dark types).

Since the 755nm wavelength is better suited for lighter skin and finer hair, and the 808 nm wavelength offers deeper penetration bypassing the thick melanin layer of darker skin tones, I prefer to use each wavelength individually rather than combining them. This method ensures greater precision, improved safety, no waste of energy, and enhanced results by selecting the most appropriate wavelength for each client without unnecessary exposure to wavelengths that may not be optimal for their skin type.

The SHR
(Super Hair Removal) Technology
Unlike traditional laser hair removal methods that use high-intensity pulses to destroy hair follicles in a single shot, the SHR technology takes a different approach. It delivers multiple low-energy pulses at high frequency, gradually heating the dermis to a temperature that effectively damages hair follicles without harming the surrounding skin. This results in a virtually pain free experience while the risks of burns are also reduced, making it especially suitable for darker skin tones and sensitive areas.

The ICE Sapphire
Cooling Technology
Unlike standard air-cooling systems used in other laser devices, the Alma Soprano Titanium features the ICE Sapphire Cooling system, which provides continuous cooling through direct contract with the skin. The sapphire tip of the laser maintains a consistently low temperature, creating an intense cooling sensation, avoiding overheating of the external skin layers. This reduces treatment discomfort and lowers the risks of burns and irritations, ensuring a more comfortable and safe treatment experience than the standard cooling systems.
